The claim
Polish outlet ppe.pl — which has a decent track record on physical release leaks — claims GTA 6 will get a true disc release in December 2026, about a month after the game’s November 19 launch. The site says its information comes from someone with access to a retail store’s backend systems.
Why this is being talked about
Rockstar has already confirmed that physical copies at launch will just be a download code in a box — no disc (see our price & editions guide). That decision has frustrated some retailers and preservation-focused buyers, which is part of why a “disc later” rumor is getting attention.
