When Is GTA 6 Trailer 3? Rumors Now Point to Late July–August

Trailer 3 is the GTA 6 moment everyone is still waiting on. Many expected it to land alongside pre-orders on June 25 — but that date passed with only a short cover-art teaser and no third trailer. So where is it?
The current expectation: late July to mid-August
With the pre-order window already behind us, most press projections (Forbes, Insider Gaming, Vice) now point to a late July to mid-August 2026 window for Trailer 3.
The reasoning is strategic: pre-orders generated enormous momentum on their own, so Rockstar had little reason to “spend” the trailer in June. Dropping it later in the summer lets them re-ignite hype and fill in the gaps on story and characters closer to the November 19 launch.
The clues people are watching
- The July 14 GTA Online update. Some expect Rockstar to release Trailer 3 before a major GTA Online content drop dated July 14, to avoid the two competing for attention.
- Summer marketing was promised. Take-Two’s CEO said GTA 6 marketing would ramp up “this summer” — and the June cover-art teaser and pre-order launch fit that timeline, suggesting a bigger beat is still to come.
- Trailer 2’s rollout pattern. Rockstar tends to tease trailers only a day or two before release, so expect little to no warning when it does land.
Will it finally show real gameplay?
That’s the hope — extended missions, driving, the heist mechanic, and the in-game UI. But Rockstar has stuck to cinematic, world-and-character trailers so far. A gameplay-heavy reveal is possible but not promised.

- Release date: November 19, 2026 on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S.
- Digital pre-load: expected to open November 12, a week before launch.
