Rockstar Support Says a GTA 6 Disc Is Coming — 'In the Following Months'
Rockstar has already confirmed that physical GTA 6 copies at the November 19 launch ship as a code in a box, with no disc (see our price & editions guide). Now, in response to customer emails asking about a real disc, Rockstar Support has said one is coming — just not yet.
What Rockstar Support actually said
According to replies shared by customers and reported by Vice and others, a Rockstar Support email reads:
“Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. Please note that the current pre-order is indeed just for a digital-only [copy]; you will be able to acquire a physical copy during the following months.”
How official is this?
This is a customer support email, not a press release or Newswire post — several outlets note the wording is vague and the reply may be partly templated. It does not say whether “the following months” means before or after the November 19 launch, and gives no specific date.
This is a different claim from the earlier unverified leak pointing to a December disc release — that one came from an unnamed retail-source leak, not from Rockstar. The two could line up, or Rockstar’s actual plan could differ. We’ll update this page — or post fresh news — the moment Rockstar puts out an official, dated statement.
